The Mürren via ferrata is one of the most jaw-dropping and impressibve ways to experience the Swiss Alps, combining hiking and climbing along a dramatic cliffside route above the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
Starting in the car-free village of Mürren in the Jungfrau Region, you’ll clip into a fixed cable and begin traversing the rock face 600m high above the valley floor. The route leads down towards Gimmelwald, passing waterfalls, sheer drops and panoramic viewpoints along the way.
Expect a mix of ladders, iron rungs, suspension bridges and even a zip line over the Mürrenbach, all whilst looking down over the breathtaking scenery below.
No previous climbing experience is required, but a good head for heights is essential. With a guide leading the way, it’s a safe and memorable way to explore one of Switzerland’s most iconic landscapes. This activity is delivered by a certified local partner and is subject to weather conditions. Please note transport back to Mürren from Gimmelwald is not included in the price.
