Journey high above Zermatt to Rothorn Paradise, one of the finest viewpoints in the Swiss Alps. Travelling by underground funicular to Sunnegga, gondola to Blauherd and cable car to Rothorn, you'll climb to 3,103 metres, where breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, surrounding glaciers and no fewer than 38 four-thousand-metre peaks await. From here, you'll see the Matterhorn from its famous Toblerone side - the classic pyramid-shaped profile that inspired everyone's favourite Swiss chcoolate.
Take time to explore the unique Peak Collection, an outdoor exhibition surrounding the recently renovated Restaurant Rothorn featuring 18 striking sculptures inspired by the surrounding mountains. It's the perfect place to pause, enjoy the scenery and soak up one of Zermatt's most spectacular panoramas.
Rothorn Paradise is also an excellent starting point for some of the region's most popular walks. From nearby Blauherd, it's just a 20-minute walk to the famous Stellisee, where the Matterhorn is beautifully reflected in the lake on calm days. You can also follow the Flower Walk back towards Sunnegga, discovering the rich Alpine flora and fauna that make this corner of Zermatt so special.
